From Solo to Collective

Leading an Equitable therapy Practice

Because you want to love what you do again

We became therapists because we loved the work, and we loved the people we are privileged to serve. Then we experienced the jobs available to us…

Now let’s learn how to keep loving what we do…
Lets create better options for ourselves and for the next generations of clinicians…

Are you a therapist who is…

  • Engaging in the change we want to see in our communities

  • Actively challenging the oppressions and isms we are creating in our spaces

  • Creating work environments where people feel supported in their role as supporters

This is for you if:

  • You have a desire to teach, coach, and support other clinicians

  • You desire to create community spaces rooted in inclusion & equity

  • You have a desire to create an intentional space for both clients and clinicians

  • You realize you’ll make more money owning a group practice, but understand it is in no way a “fast” nor “easy” path to profit - in fact, it’s somewhat the opposite

  • You feel isolated in your practice and want a network of providers to lean on and plan with

Imagine if

  • You love what you do

  • You build a therapist community that models the boundaries and care you teach your clients

  • You were making the money you wanted, and did not feel guilty about it

  • You build a practice that models your values, no matter the jobs and business models you’ve seen or experienced before

  • You had people to call with those practice and business questions, and they actually answered the phone AND your question

  • You had fun with your work again…

Why create this space?

I’m Erica. To be perfectly honest, I’m creating this space because I realize I’ve been repeating myself. I have had supervision, professional, and business consultations with more than 500+ therapists. More than 500 therapists have paid me to essentially answer a lot of the exact same questions. One of my favorite things to do is connect people with each other.

Yes, some of these are questions that should have been taught in graduate school. Some are questions I wish people would talk about more freely, and ultimately I’ve learned that we need each other. I’ve learned that therapists desperately seek community with other values aligned practice owners.

So, I’m a therapist originally trained by the community mental health and non-profit fields, spent several years as a clinical director in a several location group practice. That group practice led me to start my private solo-turned-group practice on the side. At some point the consultation and supervision leg of my private practice was making the same amount of money as my client work. As someone who lives with chronic illness, this was a pivotal moment in creating some peace of mind and financial security - knowing that I had some flexibility in my work options. Now, in full time private practice, doing consultation, supervision, training, and continuing to see clients as a trauma therapist - I LOVE what I do.

I want that for you too.

Is this you?

Are you ready to create a community with other values aligned providers, who are also committed to growth and development. Are you ready to grow my practice and turn it into work that you love again.

BUT, this is a commitment for people who are going to show up to do the work. This is a commitment for people who are ready and wanting to engage with others clinicians seeking intentional community. This is a commitment for people who are wanting to grow their businesses in ways beyond than one-on-one therapy client work. This is a space for people committed to anti-oppressive and equitable businesses and practices.
